| The CompuShare General
Ledger was specifically designed to meet the informational
demands of today's credit union managers. Fully
functional as a stand-alone or integrated solution,
General Ledger extends account processing capabilities
and eliminates all redundant posting.
Multiple journals capture transactions through
easy entry posting screens, while the forced balancing
of all transactions as they are entered insures
that ledger accounts always balance. Additionally,
General Ledger permits quick on-screen review
of any transaction or general ledger account.
The ability to hold transaction activity on a
period basis adds convenience to your account
or transaction inspection.
General Ledger account numbers are displayed
in a fixed, yet flexible format. They may begin
with a two-digit branch code for isolating profit
centers. A six-digit primary account number with
a two-digit sub-account code enables you to precisely
define your credit union's accounting system (99/999999.99).
You can assign any account number to a general
ledger account as long as it is within this structure.
Statement accounts (groups of account ranges
and individual accounts) enable you to customize
your financial reports by isolating and printing
subtotals in separate columns. They can suppress
the printing of defined accounts. This permits
the tracking sub-accounts in the G/L without displaying
unnecessary and sometimes confusing detail on
the financial reports. Importantly, a powerful
budgeting system permits monthly, periodic and
annual budgets to be continuously updated. Budgets
may be entered and reviewed on-screen or in formal
printed reports.
